OVERFLOW!

Church service was cancelled last Sunday because of heavy snow. I had shared with our church members on the night of 31st December that 2014 was going to be a year of an “OVERFLOW” of the mighty blessings of God inspired by Andre Crouch’s revival song – Mighty Wind.

For me that superabundant outpouring of the snow and weather conditions during the beginning of the year is symbolic and confirmation of what God is going to do this year. He, the Holy Spirit, will descend upon us as a mighty rushing wind, to blow away the troubles, the anxieties, the problems, the stumbling blocks that are hindering God’s people from living a victorious and abundant life of  joy, peace, health, prosperity and success (Psalm 1:3,4). The righteous (the believer in Christ) will prosper, but the wicked (non-believer, evil, oppressor, extortionist, the greedy, etc) will be blown away like chaff.

The Spirit of God will anoint God’s people and lead them into superabundance. If you think you were blessed in 2013, you haven’t seen nothing yet, expand your asset portfolios, for all your resource barns in 2014 will be “pressed down, shaken together and overflowing” with the mighty blessings of God (Luke 6:38).

Why is that going to happen? – see Joel 2:23-27 that was the scripture God laid upon my heart for 2014 – God will do that because He loves us unconditionally, unmeritoriously, and because He is a God of mercy and grace. He will do that so that people will give Him Praise and the world will know that He alone is GOD and there is no other.

How is he going to do it? By pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh – upon young men and young women, upon the leaders and citizens, young and old.

So what should we do now? Wait upon him – seek him diligently, pray without ceasing and keep on asking him to reveal himself to you in a personal way until he does and “You, shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”  God bless you!

And God Said!

So here we go, in the beginning the whole universe was one huge mass of water, empty, shapeless and very dark.

We all know that water gets its color from its surroundings – the blue sea is blue because the sky is blue? So it is understandable that in the absence of any color or light, darkness was ruling supreme – imagine what kind of darkness that will be. Remember that darkness cannot even be black because black is a color?? (Need more research on this).

Darkness is a fearful and terrible thing, it is like being in a place or condition or a state where you don’t know where you are, who you are, where you are going, what you are doing, or if you are doing anything. It is like being in a state, where you cannot even remember your name, you don’t know who you are, in fact you don’t know anything, nothing. Whether you are existing or dead, you are not sure, you are in total shock and disarray, total confusion and totally lost – miserable and yet you are very conscious of the fact that you are not conscious of anything!!! Oh, what a dilemma and a miserable state to be in. Sadly though, there are millions of people in the world today who are in this state of mind. They need help.

God comes to this mass of darkness, this formless energy, this wasteful deep and speaks. No, no, no, he did not just speak, He commanded, He said: “Let there be light” and there was light, whoa!  How powerful the word of God is, He speaks and it is done. He does not need to take painstaking hours, days or years trying to create a thing. He only speaks the word and out of nothing something happens – that is a miracle.

God’s word gives light – knowledge, truth, understanding, revelation and wisdom. The word of God will liberate you, it will liberate your soul, it will give you purpose to life. Read, study and meditate on God’s word – the BIBLE.

In the Beginning

The whole universe was covered by water, without form, just liquid, empty liquid and dark, very, very dark. There was no space, no air, no planets, no sky, no clouds, no earth, no life, nothing; just water.

God’s Spirit hovered over and around; moving, seeking, looking and stirring among the waters.

Any time the Spirit of God moves something happens, something supernatural, or in another sense whenever you “see” or sense the Spirit of God moving, God is about to Speak and a miracle is about to happen.

Anytime God speaks miracles happen! So if you want to see miracles, meditate on the word of God and let God speak to you.

Truth is you may never hear God speak until you “see” the Spirit moving. The Spirit of God must move upon your heart before you can hear God speak, and then you can see the miracles of God or receive them.

But thanks be to God, the Spirit of God is moving today, it’s moving upon the hearts of men and women, even those whose hearts are darkened by sin, whose lives are miserable and torn apart, who are sick and tired of being sick and tired; the Spirit of God is moving upon them seeking to heal, seeking to bring order out of chaos, seeking to make peace and bring joy to those who are ready to kill themselves and kill others, because they find no meaning to life. He is moving wherever two or three are gathered in His Name, He is moving wherever people’s heart are failing them for fear, He is moving wherever there is hurt, and sorrow, and pain, and lack, and loss and death.

Yes, the Spirit of God is moving upon your heart TODAY! Will you keep quiet and listen!!  (reference Genesis 1:1, 2)
